Analytics news: January 2025
January didn't bring many Google Analytics 4 updates, but for the record, here's what happened.
Admin changes for viewing consent signals
I think this change comes much later than we'd have expected, but you can now see in Admin exactly which signals each data stream in your property receives. You can also see exactly which features each of these signals affects. It's not a revolution, but it can come in handy when you're unsure about your Consent Mode setup

Copying report and exploration configurations
When it comes to the pace of improvements, Google Analytics 4 is starting to resemble Internet Explorer. The feature seems obvious and simple, and not having it was incredibly annoying. Now you can finally copy report configurations (not very useful) and explorations (long awaited) between the properties you have access to.

It came late, but it was done properly: you can copy an exploration to multiple properties in one go.

Little by little, Explorations is becoming a complete tool for teamwork. Now we're just waiting for the ability to share configurations with other users as a template. In this area, that's probably the last feature I still miss from Universal Analytics.
Nothing happened in GTM in January, and Looker didn't release any major update worth mentioning.
